- Another major milestone has just been reached, with the introduction of Eco-Stocks® at Wienerberger!
All that remains now is to connect the 6 hoods to the Eco-Stocks®, then the Eco-Stocks® to the 6 dryers. Once connected, the waste heat from the baking furnaces will be captured, stored and then recycled in the dryers.
Enabling Wienerberger to use 100% waste heat for drying its roof tiles, all the while eliminating 100% of natural gas consumption and achieving carbon-free drying..
This solution will reduce energy consumption by more than 480 tonnes of CO2 per year, or the equivalent of more than 3.5 million km per year for a normal car, or 87 circumnavigations of the globe by car per year!
