• A major milestone has just been reached at our partner Wienerberger’s Pontigny site: after several hundred baking cycles, the performance of the new hoods has been validated in line with the manufacturer’s high quality standards!

The instrumentation and control system we’ve implemented gives us greater control over production conditions (tile color). A strategic first that meets the expectations of the world leader in terracotta.

  • Another major milestone has just been reached, with the introduction of Eco-Stocks® at Wienerberger!

All that remains now is to connect the 6 hoods to the Eco-Stocks®, then the Eco-Stocks® to the 6 dryers. Once connected, the waste heat from the baking furnaces will be captured, stored and then recycled in the dryers.

Wienerberger will then be able to use 100% natural gas to dry its roof tiles at the Pontigny site, and achieve 100% carbon-free drying.

This solution will reduce energy consumption by more than 480 tonnes of CO2 per year, or the equivalent of more than 3.5 million km per year for a normal car, or 87 circumnavigations of the globe by car per year!

This decarbonization work, necessary for the industrial transformation of our country, is co-financed byADEME and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region.
