And the results speak for themselves: they will be able to reduce their energy consumption by 15% and avoid the emission of 500 tons of CO2 at their Pontigny site!
We have just commissioned a new waste heat recovery solution:
- Pressure-controlled fume extraction on several intermittent baking ovens, ensuring product quality
- Heat capture and storage in our Eco-Stocks® (2.3 MWH at 600°C)
- This decarbonated heat is used in several intermittent dryers to control humidity and, here again, ensure product quality.
The entire technological innovation was financed by ETC Invest, with the support ofADEME and ADEME Investissement. In concrete terms, this means thatETC Invest sells the decarbonized heat to Wienerberger France(at a competitive fixed price for the next 10 years).
