Antoine Meffre created Eco-Tech Ceram in 2014. Just a few months after its creation, the young start-up won the Concours Mondial de l’Innovation, financed by BPi France.

His story had begun a few years earlier in the PROMES-CNRS laboratory. Antoine Meffre was then a doctoral student and was carrying out his thesis on the storage of high-temperature energy, using recycled ceramics from industrial waste. This gives him the opportunity to work with industrialists such as ArcelorMittal, EDF or Europlasma.

Aware of the consequences of climate change and the urgency to act, he decided to put his energy and scientific expertise at the service of the fight against climate disruption. Antoine Meffre then had an original idea: to design a high-temperature thermal storage unit to recover waste energy from industries, industrial waste heat. The concept of Eco-Stock ® had germinated.

He surrounded himself with a team of experts committed to the development of a low-carbon, sustainable and profitable industry: Eco-Tech Ceram was born.
